Chance The Rapper ft. Saba - Angels
Angels was released in late 2015 as the main single for his 2016 mixtape 'The Coloring Book'. It is a feel good hip hop song that features an interesting video. The video was nominated for 'Best Hip Hop Video' at the 2016 MTV VMA's.

The video starts with what seems like a shooting star with a following chemtrail flying through the Chicago Skyline. This is a good establishing shot and we easily come to see it is Chance himself flying. He then starts to rap while flyinh through the clouds. This is obviously a green screen effect but still worked really well.
Throughout the video, various animations of Chance occur and when he lands on a train going through the city it is in animation for almost like an 'angel' effect. This is a good technique and is very clear as to what is happening.

Meanwhile, after Chance lands, Saba is on the train with a lot of professional dancers while singing. This continues for a while and is a good technique to help the support the genreal 'feel good' mood. After another minute or so of dancing on the train, the final location is shown.
The final location seems like a well known Chicago Area where Chance and Saba are both dancing. Some slight animation is used again when they bump fists etc for that almost 'angel' like feel again. Many americans are known for their patriotic values and the love for their city and this is clearly shown.

To conclude I would say this video is very good and successful as it gets a simple message across without too many complex techniques etc. It also shows hints of culture shows the city in a good light.
