Gwen Stefani - What You Waiting For
This Alice in Wonderland esque song came about in 2004. The use of props and clever technqieus really made it stand out compared to others at the time. For example. Her being trapped in a house that she is a lot bigger than creates an illusional/distortionate effect like a 'wonderland' itself.
Many special effects are used like animations of characters, clones of Gwen herself and golden streams flying round her to help be in this magical wonderland. The colours also help this with the green blue and white being the main ones.
In the 'extended version' she also takes part in some acting involving dialogue with an agent like character. This sound is diegetic but then it becomes non diegetic when the soudntrack starts and is a common technique used. This has used a lot of special effects and could potentially inspire us.
