Music Video Genres

With a music video, there  are 2 main types.

Narrative  Video
​

These videos will consist mainly of a story line relating to the lyrics and genre of a song. It is a good way of engaging the audience. Songs that feature in motion pictures often have scenes cut into the video.

Performance Video

Performance based videos feature the band/artist performing either to the camera or an audience. It is a common technique used by rockbands due to their high energy concerts and more interest to view the band rather than an artist on their own. 

For our group we are yet to discuss what type of video we want to achieve. Our original ideas is most likely a combination of both.
